act3 Planning
act3 Planning is a unique, holistic and strategic program to help executives plan their future life and career – their act3. act3 Planning enables executives to confidently face their future life and career, based on a plan that has been developed in the context of their broader professional, personal and financial drivers and aspirations. The act3 Planning program has been designed to help executives:
Better understand their personal and professional drivers, needs and interests
Clarify and prioritise their career and lifestyle goals
Identify and thoroughly explore options that will help them achieve future personal and professional fulfillment. We help the executive challenge traditional assumptions and work creatively to consider options that leverage their signature strengths and interests
Understand and incorporate the needs and aspirations of their partner or spouse, who is actively engaged in the program
Develop a Vision for their future “portfolio” of personal and professional activities – including key changes to be made
Take “reality checks” in relation to their financial and physical health – as well as adaptation issues that they and/or their partner may face as they transition into their act3
Develop a detailed act3 Plan – including specific actions and changes they will make to transition to their act3. We also equip the executive with the tools, techniques and confidence needed to implement their plan now and in the future
Stay on track with their act3 Plan through follow up session(s) with their act3 consultant
act3 is happy to provide you with more information upon request.

act3 Planning - Group Program
Group programs are an important tool to help companies retain and engage mature talent - particularly those people possessing vital skills or occupying critical roles who may be starting to contemplate "retirement".
Sponsoring staff through this program is a powerful and very effective demonstration of an organisation's commitment to senior talent engagement and retention.
Group Programs involve:
Working with senior management and HR to tailor a specific program to engage and retain mature talent in the organisation
A seminar which presents the need to retain senior talent, the organisation's commitment to senior talent retention, the notion and benefits of 3rd act planning and an outline of what participants can expect from the program
Participants complete a number of preparatory activities, typically involving their spouse/partner
A one day intensive workshop with invited participants – no more than 10-12 – to prepare them to define their own 3rd act
Individual planning support with act3 consultants to develop and refine their 3rd act plan - and strategies to discuss any transition with the business
Provision of strategic feedback to the company to improve senior talent retention and engagement - while respecting the confidentiality of discussions with program participants
If required, provision of follow-up support to participants to help refine their 3rd act plans and to help reinforce accountability to agreed actions.

act3 Career Management
act3 offers unique and tailored support to help executives to successfully plan and transition their careers. Our approach to working with executives:
- Leverages our background as pioneers of act3 planning – helping executives take control of their next career move in the context of their broader personal and professional goals.
- Involves one-on-one, objective, independent and challenging support from Consultants who are all highly experienced business leaders in their own right and understand the dynamics and implications of change at an organisational and personal level.
- Actively engages the executive’s spouse – recognising the importance of their expectations and aspirations on life and career planning.
We work with each executive to design a program of support that meets their needs – including timeframes and specific support activities. Our support can help the executive:
- Identify and manage the immediate issues they face as they take on board the company’s decision and need to take it into the realm of family, friends, colleagues and the market.
- Communicate effectively throughout their transition – helping them present positively to key stakeholders
- Understand the value of their unique personal brand – and coach them on how to leverage their brand when communicating to all key stakeholders.
- Take a long term view on life and career management – well beyond the next career move. Importantly, we help the executive take stock of personal and professional goals and drivers and equip them with the tools, techniques and confidence needed to implement their plans now and in the future.
- Explore financial implications of the transition and future career/lifestyle goals
- Challenge traditional assumptions and work creatively to consider alternate career options that leverage their signature strengths and interests
- Support them in implementing their strategy – including coaching to help them prepare, rehearse and review key presentations and interviews
- Identify important relationships and strategies to maintain and leverage those relationships and personal networks.
- Prepare for their “first 90 days” in the new role.
